Can you STOP weighing yourself all the time?
Seriously… Could you do it?
Even though I am a weight loss coach, I NEVER weigh myself unless I'm at the doctor's office, which is usually once a year unless I'm sick. Heck, I don’t even OWN a scale at home.
After struggling with the number on the scale years ago, I've learned and accepted that I'm NEVER going to let a silly number define me.
Sure, the scale is ONE WAY to measure your progress, but when did we (as a society) become SO OBSESSED over that silly number?
There are SO many emotions that can be associated with stepping on the scale (frustration, guilt, embarrassment, & anger), that it’s NOT always worth it… especially if you weigh yourself every day!
YES, most of my clients measure their weight weekly or bi-weekly as ONE way to measure progress, BUT I teach them how to emotionally detach from the number (adios frustration & guilt!)
Plus, I teach them at LEAST 5 other ways to measure progress ASIDE from the damn scale that are MORE important long-term, like how you FEEL energy-wise, or how well your clothes fit, or how well you’re sleeping, or how STRONG you feel!
Anyone else ready to say screw the scale and just lead a healthy life simply because it FEELS GOOD, regardless of the number on the scale?!
Do YOU have another way you measure progress outside of the scale???
