Often times, women come to me asking specifically WHAT foods caused them to gain weight.

Here’s a sample list that I’ve heard on various calls over the past few months. Is it…

ICE CREAM? Nope.
COOKIES? Nope.
BUTTER? Nope.
PASTA? Nope.
CAKE? Nope.
PIZZA? Nope.
CARBS AFTER 9 pm? Nope.
APPLES? Nope.
OMELETS? Nope.
BULLETPROOF COFFEE? Nope.

Want to know what DOES make you fat?!

Eating too many calories from ALL TYPES OF FOODS (yes that includes nutritious foods too!)

The reason you’ve gained weight OR are struggling to lose weight is NOT because you enjoyed ice cream… or cookies… or pizza… or any of the other foods I previously mentioned.

It’s because you OVERATE ALL TYPES OF FOODS.

This post may sound harsh, but it’s the truth.

If you’re hoping to lose weight, you need to eat LESS food overall. Focus on eating slowly, only eating when you’re truly hungry, and stopping BEFORE you stuff yourself.

Eat nutritious foods 80-90% of the time, but allow yourself to ENJOY ice cream, cookies, or your other favorite foods 10-20% of the time in small portions… So that you lose weight while ENJOYING your life.
