There is NO SUCH THING as “good” or “bad” foods.

Take a deep breathe and let me explain…

This is a HUGE discrepancy (and this is something that really bothers me) within the health/fitness/weight loss world.

There are foods that are “GOOD” for you that might be “BAD” for someone else. And foods that are “GOOD” for someone else might be “BAD” for you.

For example, as a runner training for my next marathon, eating 100% whole wheat bread is a GREAT choice for me. It helps provide my muscles enough glycogen (stored glucose from carbs) to endure long runs.

Would eating whole wheat bread be a good choice for my sister-in-law who can’t properly digest gluten? NO WAY!

That does NOT mean that whole wheat bread is a GOOD or BAD choice.

It’s completely dependent on YOU and what works for YOUR BODY, YOUR JOURNEY, YOUR GOALS, and YOUR LIFE. ♥️

Is Icecream BAD? NO! Is it simply less-nutritious than broccoli? YES!

If you use the words “good” and “bad” to describe foods, then you will ALWAYS feel GUILT or SHAME for enjoying “bad” foods. Instead, simply call foods "more nutritious" or "less nutritious." Focus on eating nutritious foods 80-90% of the time, and less-nutritious foods 10-20% of the time.

Here’s the TRUTH — You DESERVE to enjoy your favorite non-nutritious foods occasionally and in moderation, and you can enjoy them and STILL lose weight… With NO guilt or shame attached whatsoever!
